Local speech and text
Loudink processes microphone audio, transcripts, and polished text locally on your Mac. Loudink does not upload your audio, raw transcript text, or final dictated text to our servers for normal dictation.
Local history
Loudink can keep recent activity on your Mac for retry, copy, health, and latency diagnostics. You can turn recent activity off, reduce retention, or disable transcript text storage from the app settings.
Accounts and billing
The direct download version can use an account for quota and subscription access. In that flow, Loudink sends usage metadata such as successful dictation counts, word totals, app version, and duration. It does not send audio or transcript text.
The Mac App Store version does not use Loudink web billing, external checkout links, or account-based quota enforcement.
Support
If you export a support bundle, Loudink includes health state, permissions, local engine inventory, and recent activity metadata. Transcript text is included only when you explicitly choose to include it.
